Good Afternoon,

My name is Mario Cruz
and I am a Live in Carer.

I have experience as personal carer in Portugal, and I have professional experience as a Live in Carer in the UK, for 5-6 months in the year of 2015 and 2016, and 3 more months, recently in 2020.
Currently, I am looking for a position again in the UK, preferably in rural areas or small towns.

I have worked in the with a client which suffered from tetraplegia, so he required 24 hour assistance and 2 carers at all times. And my last 2 clients suffered from advanced dementia.
(updated) I recently also gained experience working with a client with Parkinson's disease.
I usually worked as a Live-in-Carer, in a '4 weeks on to 1 week off' schedule.
I have done Training and DBS check, although i believe they should be outdated by now, so I would require assistance in doing them once again.

I would currently prefer to work in a position in Surrey, rural areas or small towns, as I don't feel comfortable working for long periods of time in big cities like London.

Since I was 18, I have devoted my work to helping communities and people in need, by being volunteer in many different places all over Europe.
I really enjoy cooking, making a house a welcoming and comfortable home, spending quality time with the people I live with, sightseeing, gardening, reading and writing.
I take great care with my own health too, so I would prefer a place where I could run and exercise outdoors on my spare time.
I would prefer to be with a person interested in nature and a sustainable and ecological way of living, but it's not essential, for I respect and understand all different points of view.
