I am an enthusiastic, team player, punctual, integrity and hardworking carer, who have vast experience, worked in many and different health care settings as a health care assistant.
I have over 30yrs of extensive experience working in individual homes with people who have different needs working as a live in carer working in individuals’ houses, and settings such as nursing homes, community homes, and residential homes. I have extensive experience of supporting individuals with different needs such as long term conditions, EOL, Acute elderly, dementia, Parkinson, brain injury Cancer, patients on peg fed, only to mention a few.

I am leading care with compassion and communicating well with individuals under my care always maintaining privacy and dignity. I can promote health and improve individual’s health through providing the right care to the right patient and empathetic since empathetic is expected from me. I am aware of limitations and have developed resilience to prevent burnout. I work in a remarkably busy and challenging environment
I am a competent carer who understands individual’s health and social needs with expertise, clinical and technical knowledge to deliver effective care and treatments based on research and evidence. I communicate with individuals using their preferred ways of communication. I listen attentively and speak with simple language to allow the individuals to understand and give them enough time to process the information. I communicate within the team in giving and taking handover from the team and include individuals and families in making informed decisions based on evidence practice. I worked in Royal Derby City Hospital in Macmillan Unit as a voluntary worker for one year 2015-2016.. As a volunteer, I enhanced my experience working with individuals with different needs. I did extra training to support people with long term illnesses doing gentle therapies such as Hand Massage which I got a certificate. I was involved in charity work at Sue Ryder charity shops as a volunteer to support people in the shop in Hampshire. My main job was to interact with people, cleaning the shop, packing the stuff, and unpacking clothes donated to the shop. This is my passion as I was also involved in charity work abroad where I was working with orphans and individuals with long term conditions to engage them in doing projects to sustain themselves. On my spare time, I enjoy doing Charity work, travelling(going on holidays) cooking, and family gatherings.
