Dear Sir/ Madam,

I would like to apply for the live-in care assistant position, please find my CV attached. I have three years of experience working with a variety of conditions including motor neurone disease, spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy and autism. In my previous roles I was in charge of duties such as doing personal care, moving and handling, administering medication and oxygen, assisting with feeding and toileting, doing physiotherapy. In addition I also had to perform more complex tasks like looking after tracheostomy, gastrostomy and suprapubic catheter. As I worked for high dependency clients I had the opportunity to learn to react quickly in emergency situations. Besides all the practical knowledge I acquired I also had very good personal relationships with the clients as I was expected to provide companionship or accompany them to social events occasionally. At the same time I was always aware of the importance of being discreet in the clients home and considerate of the family environment. Besides this I also had to carry out certain household duties like cooking, cleaning, shopping and ironing. As for my personality I am empathetic, patient, reliable and respectful. I can take the initiative when needed, Im also energetic and enthusiastic. Personal development is very important to me therefore I always learn new things quickly and enjoy doing a variety of tasks.
Thank you for taking the time to read my application.

Yours faithfully,
Sofia Barabas
