Hello everyone, my name is Ryan and I am an experienced male carer who is hard working, polite and fluent in English. Originally from South Africa I enjoy Wilbur Smith, outdoor activities such as golf, walking, tennis, body boarding, swimming and gardening. I love animals, especially labradors (I don't mean to be biased of course, but they really are such special creatures). I have a practical and logical mind, but also an emphatic and understanding heart. I started caring following my father's terminal cancer diagnosis where I looked after him until he sadly passed on. I also enjoy rugby and motorsports.

I have the following experience; spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, brain injuries, brain stem stroke, tetraplegia, lung cancer, COPD, palliative care, Parkinson's, Alzheimers, vascular dementia, dementia with lewy bodies, Asperger's, autism, catheter care, conveen care, hoists and manual handling equipment of a broad range, personal care, commodes, attendant controlled wheelchairs, driving wheelchair accessible vehicles, oxygen machines, feeding, medication administration, cooking, companionship, suction machines, etc...

I am very good with one to one interactions and have a calming personality. I am physically strong, but gentle at the same time and confident in my abilities to provide an excellent level of care.
I have my own vehicle

Self employed
DBS up to date (As well as basic PVG)
