I'm a 40-year-old Brit with a background in African conservation. I returned to the UK in 2025 and discovered a passion for care work. Since then, I've gained around eight months' live-in experience, particularly with dementia, working rotations from a couple of nights to six weeks. I'm comfortable with personal care for men and women, happy to chat and be sociable, but equally good at entertaining myself when someone wants their space. I enjoy finding little routines and strategies that make life easier, and even picked up a company award for going the extra mile early on because of it.
