Updated 1 year ago
I am a caring, compassionate and reliable live-in carer with over 10 years of experience in care and healthcare. I have also completed three years of Adult Nursing education, gaining valuable clinical knowledge and practical experience in different healthcare settings.
I am passionate about providing person-centred care, treating every individual with dignity, respect and kindness while encouraging independence wherever possible. I have experience supporting people with personal care, medication routines, mobility, nutrition and hydration, companionship and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
My healthcare experience has also given me skills in venepuncture, observations, infection prevention and control, recognising changes in a person's condition and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and families.
I am patient, trustworthy and a good listener. I understand that every person has different needs, routines and preferences, and I take the time to build a relationship based on trust. I am particularly comfortable supporting older people who may experience dementia, anxiety, reduced mobility or require additional reassurance following a hospital stay.
I also enjoy providing companionship and helping people continue doing the things they enjoy, whether that is cooking, going for walks, shopping, gardening, having a conversation or simply having someone there for company.
My goal is to provide safe, respectful and compassionate care while helping the person maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life in their own home.
My English language level is fluent
I have a Provisional Driving License
I have care qualifications in Health and Social Care Level 5
I have got a Moving and Handling Level 2 qualification and update service DBS
