Job Description

We are looking for a weekend Care Assistant to Live in from 9pm on Friday evening and to work through to finish on 8am on Monday morning to work with elderly patients in a residential care home setting. Ideal for healthcare students or those with other weekday commitments. You will be required to work for around 30 hours per weekend from 6am to 9pm Saturday and Sunday, with 3 sleeping nights, just available for emergencies (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) Candidate must have excellent written and spoken English and experience of working delivering care and filling out charts and care plans.

You must be compassionate, caring and cheerful, and possess excellent communication skills.

The job is demanding as well as rewarding and you must possess a desire to work with the elderly. We are a close-knit and caring team. 

We will require previous employers references.

Candidates must have a willingness attend a series of mandatory care training courses before they can start the job.

You will need to provide an up to date enhanced DBS.

The home is about 1.5 hours drive from East London on the Essex Coast and the train station is about 20 minutes (1 mile) walk away.
