Live-In Carer (2-Person Team) – Support a Vibrant Young Man Living with Disability

📍 Location: Live-in (home-based, accommodation next door) in Hampshire
📅 Start Date: October
🕒 Commitment: Minimum 4–6 weeks stay (with potential for long-term)

We're looking for a compassionate and reliable live-in carer to join an established two-person care team, supporting a 35-year-old man with a muscular disability.

He uses a power wheelchair and needs round-the-clock assistance, but this isn’t a clinical environment — it’s a real home, where respect, independence, and good vibes matter. You’ll be part of a calm, collaborative team providing essential support without a rigid routine.

To begin with, we’re looking for someone who can commit to staying at least 4 to 6 weeks, with the possibility of this becoming a longer-term role for the right person.

🧡 About the Role:

• Work alongside another carer (always in pairs for moving/handling)

• Assist with complex personal care, daily tasks, and housekeeping

• Provide companionship and help him live life on his own terms

• Be present in the home and on-call during the day, but you’ll also have regular downtime and a relaxed working rhythm

This role suits someone who is calm, adaptable, and easy to get along with. Our days can vary, so flexibility and teamwork are key.

🛏️ Accommodation & Living Setup:

While this is a live-in role, carers don’t live in the same flat as us.
You’ll have your own bedroom in a separate two-bedroom flat located in the building next door, shared with the second carer. The carers’ flat includes a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living area — giving you space to cook, relax, and unwind outside of work hours.

Although you’ll be on-call and available throughout the day, having your own flat allows for a clear mental break and personal time away from the client’s home when not actively assisting. It's a calm and respectful setup that supports both teamwork and healthy boundaries.
