Job Description

Client Reference: Mr MJ

Start & End Date: 07.09.22 - 28.09.22 (carer to arrive the day before at 7pm) 3 weeks on/ 3 weeks off

Rate: Please advise

Paid when: Weekly, clients parents by bank transfer

Driver: Yes – Client has a manual car – must be a confident driver

Pets: No

Location: Fleet, Hampshire

Breaks: 2-3 hours daily

Food: Included

Ideal Carer: Male or female. Confident driver. Prefers a non-smoker. Someone easy-going, but not too quiet and is happy to get involved in his activities as required. Carer doesn’t need to be very experienced but should have the willingness to learn and take direction. Happy for carer to use their phone throughout the day but would prefer for them to use it in their room. Doesn’t want carers to keep notes about him.

About the client :
Mr MJ is a friendly, young gentleman who attends various regular activities. He loves singing and belongs to choirs and also a theatre group. He enjoys going to the theatre and the opera, going to cricket and football matches and going to the pub to watch matches. He enjoys going swimming in the Summer. He uses a powered wheelchair to get around and he is able to go out into the community in this independently. If the incoming carer arrives the night before the existing carer leaves, the incoming carer should move into the bedroom when they arrive and the existing carer will sleep on the sofa.

Clients bungalow has been modernised to a high standard and is fully adapted. . Carer has their own room and own shower room.

General Condition: Cerebral Palsy. Scoliosis, Anxiety

Moving & Handling: Hoisting (not frequently as Mr MJ doesn’t drink much only 3 times in a day max)

Continence Care: Mr MJ is continent

Equipment to be used: Hoist, Mr MJ uses a body brace for his scoliosis

Client Dietary Requirements: Normal Diet

Does the client smoke? : No

Wifi: Yes
