Job Description

The Live In Care Company are currently seeking self-employed, live-in carers, to support clients across the UK.

Sometimes, traditional care agencies can be pretty daunting. Being sent to a client you don’t know, in an area you’ve never heard of, isn’t ideal.

Here at The Live In Care Company, we operate differently. With us, you choose who you work for and communicate with your client directly. You can discuss where, when and how in as much detail as you require, all before your first day. We even match our clients and carers by personality, interests and skill-sets.

And working on a self-employed basis, you benefit from great tax breaks, offsetting your equipment, phone, travel and other costs against what you earn before tax.

Every client has different needs, but in this role you could be:

• Providing companionship and support
• Professional care giving, such as assistance with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting and moving and handling)
• First-aid and medication prompting
• Helping with some household duties, such as cooking meals, laundry and gardening
• Assisting with paperwork, attending appointments or running errands with clients
• Supporting your clients hobbies, such as baking cakes, going for walks or doing crafts

What we look for:

• A kind and compassionate personality
• Reliability and strong communication skills
• A minimum of one years experience in a live in care role
• A clean Enhanced DBS check completed within the last 3 years (or, if you don’t have one currently, you’re happy to pay to undertake one before starting)
