Job Description

Looking for a Female* live in care worker to work a 2 week on 2 week off shift pattern for a 67 year old lady with spinal injuries. 

Client is paralysed from shoulders down and has combination of auto immune conditions which result in her spending a lot of time in bed. But she has a very sharp mind, enjoys quizzes and history/geography and loves spending time with children and grandchildren.

Duties include: 
Personal care - bed bath or bath
Specific bowl routine - training is provided
Catheter care - training is provided
Medication management
Driving client to appointments/visiting family or places in specially adapted large vehicle
Cooking, proving meals and ensuring client has drinks available at all times
Some light household chores
Washing and some ironing
Assisting with paperwork and other tasks related
Providing company, especially in the evenings

*Must be female owing to personal care, must hold a valid drivers license owing to rural location and specially adapted car and must be over 25 years of age owing to car insurance policy. Must also be okay with animals, 2 dogs and a cat!

On-shift perks include:
Pay rates of £140-£165 a day (dependent on self-employed or PAYE)
Additional £77 per week towards travel costs
Beautiful room in converted barn house in the hills of Carmarthenshire / Bridgend (depending on if client is visiting her daughter at the time)
Access to Wi-Fi , sky tv and other viewing apps
All good is provided whilst on shift
