Personal Assistant - Live In- Manchester

Bluebird Care Trafford are a well-respected and award-winning care provider, based to the South of Manchester.  Following an increase in demand for our service, we are now looking to recruit a caring and compassionate Personal Assistant to join our Live-In Care Team and help us achieve our motto of “A Better Life, Lived Longer”.

A typical live in assignment with Bluebird Care Trafford may include support with your client’s personal care needs, enabling attendance at appointments, cooking meals, aiding with morning and evening routines, housework, administering medication and following care plans. You will enjoy regular communication with the office to enable us to support you and to keep us informed of any changes to your client’s care needs.

Here are some of benefits you can expect when working as a Personal Assistant with us:

• Rates of £500 £703 per week, depending on the level of your client’s needs
• A guaranteed break of three consecutive hours daily, allowing free time for you to relax
• A ‘Fair Daily Average’ agreement in place, detailing the amount and type of work you will need to complete each day
• Fortnightly reviews to ensure that your client is receiving the right level of care
• Your own private space to relax within the home (own bedroom)
• An undisturbed night’s sleep – if your client requires regular support through the night, a night worker will be brought in to assist
• Meals included in your package – the cost of your food whilst on assignment is met by the customer

Previous experience of caring for others in some capacity, either paid or unpaid is preferred.  However the most important thing is having the right characteristics to successfully deliver the high standards we expect.  You will need to be able to demonstrate warmth, empathy, patience and have the ability to connect and engage well with others. Ideally you will also be a driver.

Live in care is a unique and special way of working; you will need to be able to accommodate this with your current lifestyle.  Due to the nature of live in care work, this opportunity may be suitable for those who can work on a ‘bank’ basis.
