Job Description

We’re a private family looking for a kind, reliable live-in carer to support our 29-year-old son, who has a spinal cord injury.

You’ll be working alongside us (his parents) and his existing support workers, helping him through his daily routine and making sure he’s comfortable and well cared for. The role involves helping with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, bowel management, and catheter care, so we’re looking for someone who’s hands-on, proactive, and happy to pitch in when needed.

The role

• Supporting daily routines

• Personal care, bowel care, and catheter care

• Working as part of a small, supportive team

• Being flexible and responsive to our son’s needs

Shifts & hours

• 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

• Daily hours:

  • 8:00am – 11:00am

  • 3:00pm – 4:00pm

  • 5:30pm – 7:00pm

  • 10:00pm – 11:30pm

There’s plenty of downtime during the day, so this role would suit someone who wants time to rest, study, or focus on personal interests between shifts. Some flexibility is needed, but the schedule is well-balanced.

Pay

• £1,260 gross per week
