About the Company

Freedom Care (Herts) is a small family run care agency. Tracy cared for her own mum who had a rare type of Alzheimer's, and was the reason for opening her own agency after experiencing the care her mum received until Tracy took over the care of her mum until she sadly passed away in 2016.

We treat all our clients as we would like our own family to be treated, with care,dignity and respect along with a care plan that is person centred to their needs and wishes. We support clients that have any type of Dementia, End of Life, Physical Disability, that need to be Peg Fed, Colostomy bags, Catheter Care, pallative care. We also support our clients to access the community, this could be to go to church, activity clubs, out to lunch/coffee, shopping, light housework duties and companionship. No two days are the same. We are growing and would like new members to join our friendly team.

What does this Live In Carer job involve?

This role is to support our client's with their every day activities, this would include:

* Personal care

* Administering medication

* Food prep

* Light housework duties

* Companionship

* Accessing the community for leisure or appointments

* Maintaining the safety of the client and enabling them to remain in their home, surrounded by belongings and memories that comfort them

* Be able to sit and talk to someone even if they are repeating themselves, you can act as if you are hearing this for the first time.

* Be a good listener, empathetic, and treat our clients with the upmost respect and dignity they deserve.

* Enjoy going out into the community.

* Hold a full UK licence and have access to a car as we are community based and visit clients in their own homes.

* Be able to liaise with families and other healthcare professionals.

* Have care experience and be comfortable away from home for weeks at a time
