Job Description

We urgently require LIVE IN Care Assistants to support our customers living in the Peterborough, Stamford, Oakham, Uppingham and Oundle areas.

 Our live in care assistants generally undertake assignments for approximately or 1-3 weeks, followed by a break of 1-2 weeks, or as agreed at point of contract. During each live-in assignment you will be required to live full- time in the home of our customer, offering full support and companionship in accordance with our customer’s wishes.
 
The working day will normally run between 7.00am – 10pm each day, during which time regular, flexible and scheduled, breaks are allocated. Full back up support and advice is available via our office and 'out of hours' teams at all times. Whilst attending each assignment you will be provided with a comfortable private bedroom and rest area within the customer’s home, and a weekly food allowance.
 
Previous experience of Live- In care is essential  to this role and  candidates with experience supporting people living with a range of conditions including, dementia and  mobility issues would be an advantage. 
 
Competence in handling and administering medication is desirable, although our recruitment process offers a thorough skills assessment, tailored induction programme and ongoing training to support you in all aspects of the role. Diploma level 2 in Health & Social care is desirable.
 
In return for your hard work and commitment we offer excellent rates of pay whilst on assignment.  Depending on complexity of care, pay can be from £650 - £800 per week, paid mileage for out of house trips, food allowance, accrued paid holiday and a great enhanced benefits package for staff who are able to offer us regular availability. In addition, full management support is provided throughout each assignment along with access to our bespoke career journey programme, offering further ongoing development and qualification opportunities.
 
All of our care assistants are fully DBS checked. It is desirable for applicants to have access to their own transport and a full driving licence as it may be necessary to accompany customers out of the house on shopping, social visits or appointments.However, this is not always essential.
