Job Description

We are looking for a private live-in carer to start at the end of August and do 4-8 week blocks to alternate with our existing live-in carer, with the potential for similar repeat bookings.

The role includes providing care and company for my wife (who had a stroke some years ago), light housekeeping, covering weekdays and weekends, and with covered rest breaks during weekdays.

My wife used to be very active (triathlete) and is still interested in sports, movies, culture, socialising etc., so looking for a similar mindset too.

Must have existing care training AND experience, DBS-checked, and excellent English language skills. No significant medical expertise is needed (pills only) but need to provide assistance with transfers and mobility, showering and dressing, and going to bed. Housekeeping to include light cleaning and laundry, plus preparing breakfast/meals/coffee etc. for my wife.

You would be living in a family home in a nice village close to Cirencester. Own double bedroom/sink/loo, and use of the guest bathroom so mainly just you. The ability to drive is important due to location, either with own car but we also have a wheelchair accessible vehicle and a car for carer use if needed.

Competitive salary rate plus food allowance. The start date is the end of August 2022, with options for additional sessions thereafter.
