Team Brain Injury

We are a healthcare provider that specialises in personalised care for people with brain injuries.

We are looking for LIVE IN Support Workers in the St Albans Area.

About the Client

Supporting a male individual with a brain injury living in his own home with his wife, you will be assisting our client in all aspects of his daily routine, which will include personal care, moving and handling, medication and accessing the community, he likes to visit the park (he has an electric wheelchair). The individual enjoys playing cards, dominoes and listening to music. He has a great interest in football and likes his support worker to sit and watch this with him. He has no sense of risk and no inhibitions, which can be inappropriate at times, the support staff to be aware of this.

Support Worker

The right candidate for this role must have experience either working with individuals with a brain injury or in the mental health sector of healthcare. You must be proactive to make a difference to our client’s life, to support him to work towards his goals and provide a constructive, supportive environment. The support worker to have an adaptable personality that can motivate the client, ensure his safety, and assist with his rehabilitation programme. To prompt the individual to complete tasks but be able to identify any risk and communicate this calmly to the client. The support worker to be aware that this is a family home, and to ensure respect of the home environment at all times.

Shift: Live In

Pay Rate: £950 Per Week
