Live in Carer

About Us:

We have been providing live-in carers and nurses privately throughout the UK for nearly 60 years. Since our family-led firm was established in 1962, we have stayed true to our vision of our founder, the late Mrs Anne Stevens, who knew that people feel better at home.

The role as a Live-in Carer:

Our exceptional Consultus live-in carers support hundreds of elderly and vulnerable people remain happy and secure amongst their belongings and memories in their cherished home.

Our clients require support with various levels of dependency to include; Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Palliative care.

Our aim is to get to know you as an individual and what motivates you day to day and create a role that is personalised to you. We will discuss your life skills and care experience, as well as your personality, interests and soft skills to ensure we match you with the right client.

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

· Providing companionship

· Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities

· Washing, dressing and various other aspects of personal care

· Cooking, shopping, laundry and light housekeeping

· Moving and positioning

· Toileting, assisting with incontinence

· Ensuring your clients feel safe, secure and comfortable in their own home

Training:

We are pleased to be offering our exciting new online/virtual training courses followed by a half day practical session at our training office in Tonbridge, Kent. The training is fully funded by us and at no cost to the carer.

Our training is recognised as a skill’s for care, centre of excellence. Most recently winning the Home Care Awards in 2019. We invest in all our carer’s, whether you are new to care or experienced. Our carers are equipped with the right knowledge, information and support to successfully build a career as a Live-in Carer.

Benefits:

· You can expect to earn £650-£945 per week

· £7.50 additional night call supplement

· Travelling costs as agreed with your clients

· Double rates of pay for bank holidays and other occasional days

· We offer a guarantee of workfor a minimum of 12 weeks and with such a flexible role, you can plan your work schedule to suit you

· You can book subsidised overnight accommodation in one of our nearby comfortable carer houses during training and for short breaks between bookings;

· You will be assigned a training mentor to support you during training and into your first booking;

· You will be able to sign up to our online, social support community for carers, via a dedicated Consultus Platform;

· We will offer a well-being support package for carers which includes emotional support;
