Job Description

Carer / Home Companion required

Margaret (Peggy) is 87 and is recently bereaved.  She lives in southern France (just outside the city of Beziers).  Her partner of 30 years died last November and he was her principal carer.  We have recruited an excellent carer / home companion who lives with Peggy in her house in France.  Peggy's health has however deteriorated since November and her care needs have increased so that night-time assistance is frequently required.  Consequently one companion working long periods is proving to be too much of a stretch.

As a result we are looking to recruit a home companion/carer to work alongside our existing companion doing residential terms of 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off or other periods to fit in with their and the family's needs. This is a 24 hour live in post.

We would look to ideally recruit somebody who has a full or part-time base in and around France/Spain to reduce travelling costs.  However, all enquiries are welcome.

The accommodation is a spectacular 5 bedroomed detached house in 3 acres of mature gardens with swimming pool; hopefully this will assist in attracting personable quality candidates for what could be an ideal position for somebody wishing to learn or perfect their French and enjoy living in a beautiful part of Europe.
