We are looking for a very special person to support our customers with all aspects of their day-to-day living, so as to help them enjoy the best possible quality of life.  If you are that person then, in turn, we shall take good care of you:

  • Competitive rates of £775 - £866 per week
  • Enhanced rates for Bank Holidays (£190 per diem)
  • daily breaks minimum 2 hours
  • specialised care managers always close at hand to support/intervene with any issues which might arise, supporting you every step of the way
  • £100 loyalty voucher for annual service
  • Your travel expenses to and from customer's home fully paid (within UK)
  • 28 Holidays paid
  • Own, private room and free access to wifi.
  • Top-quality training and support - all paid
  • A clearly defined schedule of working time vs downtime during each day

We are proud to be one of the highest quality providers of home care services across the UK.  But what makes us different?

Bluebird Care Lancaster and South Lakeland is a family-run company, committed to keeping people in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible.  Since we began in 2015 by offering home care visits to the elderly in our local area, we have become very successful and in 2016 branched into Live-In care.  We take care of everyday tasks around our customers’ homes all the way through to delivering their complex care needs. We appreciate that every customer is different, and this is why every day as a live-in carer will be different.

Your Roles and Responsibilities as a Live-in Care Assistant

As a Live-In Care Assistant, you will be living with one of our customers or maybe even a husband and wife to provide the very best care. You are there to be a companion, but also to help them remain independent in their own home and cherish all the memories they’ve made there.  You will be supported at all times by our experienced care management team, at close hand to help you out with any issues that might arise.  You can be assured that when working for us, you are not alone.  These are the sorts of duties you might be asked to carry out.

  • Providing personal care duties
  • Administering medication
  • Manual handling, using equipment where required
  • Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their life to the full
  • Household chores
  • Meal preparation
  • Shopping
  • Social Outings
  • Offering our customers companionship

Your working patterns will be built to suit your needs. For example, some of our staff prefer to work long placements and then take long periods of leave.  Others prefer to work just a few weeks before taking a week off.  As an example, you might begin to live with a new customer for 1-3 weeks on and then take one week off.  But once you’re embedded into your role, you might wish to stay for a maximum of 8 working weeks at a time.

Your Experience and Suitability for the Live-in Care Assistant Role

Previous experience is a bonus but not a requirement. Live-in Care Assistants are matched to our customers to ensure our customers and you get along so the most important thing to us is that you are naturally compassionate, caring and patient. We want a team that genuinely cares for each of our customers as if they were their own family.  Your high-quality induction training programme (approx one week) with us is paid, including cost of accommodation where relevant.

But not only that, we take care of our team throughout the year, whether it's your birthday, Christmas, awards or simply because it’s a Thursday. We’re a family and we’re here to look after you today, tomorrow and every other day after that.
