Job Description

This role is based in Leeds and is long term Live in Care package for an older married couple who live in the leafy suburbs of north Leeds.  We're looking for a kind, caring and experienced Live in Carer to care for our customers. Our couple are willing to consider female or male carers but they do request that the Carer is a driver with their own vehicle.

The gentleman lives with dementia and requires support with housekeeping, meals, medication, prompting with personal care and general companionship. The lady is recovering from an operation and is able to make all her own decisions but is limited with housekeeping tasks that she can comfortably do for herself and her husband.

As a Live In Care Assistant you can expect:

• £700 per week
• Full Accommodation at the customer's home on the weeks you are working.

Key Requirements

• Enhanced DBS disclosure
• A car driver is essential for this role. 
• Have 2 suitable references (professional and/or educational)
• Have experience of delivering care
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Have an excellent standard of verbal and written English

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting our customers with washing, dressing and personal appearance - mostly prompting at the moment. 
• Preparing and cooking nutritious meals and refreshments
• Laundry, hoovering, tidying and cleaning
• Ensuring medication is taken on time
• Clear record keeping
• Shopping for our customers
• Companionship and care
