Care Opportunity – Cheltenham (Female Client, Stroke & Dementia)
 

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced carer to support a friendly lady living with dementia and who has had a stroke. This role involves supporting all daily living activities while ensuring her safety, particularly as she cannot be left alone. Will be attending a day centre once a week.

About the Client

• Friendly and sociable, enjoys going out
• Attempts to leave home unattended, so cannot be left alone
• Care required includes support with all activities of daily living

Care Requirements

• Provide safe supervision and assistance throughout the day
• Support with personal care, meals, and household tasks
• Encourage engagement in activities as appropriate
• Flexibility for breaks:
  • Some breaks can be taken in-house
  • Client will attend day centre once a week
  • Some chargeable rate applies if family cannot cover breaks or the client cannot be safely left alone

Personal Qualities

• Experienced in dementia and stroke care
• Patient, reliable, and observant
• Comfortable with a placement where daily breaks are not always achievable
• Sociable and enjoys engaging with clients at home and in the community

This is a lovely placement for a carer with flexibility to charge for missed breaks if needed.
