Job Description

Live-in carer required for an intelligent, friendly 75 year old, English-speaking Canadian gentleman living in France who has recently suffered a stroke. 

You will be located his large house in the countryside, yet only minutes from the vibrant seaside resort town of Deauville in Normandy. 

The house is run as a bed & breakfast, so some additional duties helping out with basic room cleaning and household work will be required. However, it is only usually busy during the main season from May – August. At other times the bed & breakfast help required would be minimal. 

Expected weekly work hours: approximately 20. 

(1) Negotiable, competitive salary. 
(2) Free accommodation, including daily meals as well. 
(3) Day off in week (to be agreed) 
(4) Paid travel to and from Deauville at the beginning and end of contract as well as 1-2 return trips as necessary (depending on length of stay/contract) 

As a Carer you MUST be: 

Caring, kind & compassionate 
At least 21 years old 
Speak clear and fluent English 

The role of a live-in carer is a unique and special opportunity to help make another person's life a little easier. You will help out with personal care, cleaning, shopping and other daily tasks. But most importantly, you will be their companion, friend and make sure they are well looked after.
