Job Description

We are seeking an experienced live-in carer to provide support in Tiverton on a regular rotation basis:
2 weeks on / 3 weeks off, starting from 27th April.

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and own car
• Proven experience supporting clients with dementia
• Experience with:
  • Medication administration
  • Personal care assistance
  • Providing reassurance and distraction techniques
  • Supporting someone with hearing aids
  • Awareness of asthma management

About the Client:

• Wakes late morning
• Requires prompting with personal care and assistance in laying out suitable clothing
• Needs medication support
• Benefits from reassurance, distraction, and gentle stimulation to promote a good night’s sleep
• Mobilises with a walking stick and enjoys walks with the carer
• Enjoys being included in baking and cooking activities
• An interest in farming would be a bonus, as situated on a working farm

We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and engaging carer who can provide both practical support and companionship.
