Job Description

The placement will pay £125 per day plus a food allowance of £40 per week. Travel will be paid from home to and from the client at the start and end of the placement. Bank holidays are paid at 1.5 times and Christmas and New Year's Day at 2 times. The client has a diagnosis of bowel cancer and is aware that this will be a life-limiting condition, although he remains well at present. He has a stoma, the management of which is part of our service, and lives in a rural location in Northamptonshire with his placid old Labrador. The client is very practical about his circumstances and is keen to maintain a quality of life. He has had recent falls and uses a range of mobility equipment (frame and wheeled commode). His family are very supportive. The support will involve looking after the house, letting his dog out into the back garden (not walking), meal preparation, support with personal care and stoma management (bag emptying and changing). He also needs support with his tableted medications. Full training will be provided for all management of his care.

This position is initially temporary cover but may extend for longer if things go well
