About the role

We’re looking for a dependable, compassionate live-in care assistant to work with one of our clients in Wimbledon, London. This is a single-handed care package.

You will be employed by Tiggo Care and you will be paid £115.00 per day, plus pension contributions and holiday pay, which brings your total earnings to £913.36 per week. You'll also have the opportunity to earn an extra £200.00 by completing online training and you can participate in our generous 'refer a friend' scheme.

Our client lives on her own in a flat in Rayners Park. She is 48 years old and suffers from depression, anxiety, and Cerebral Palsy. She has no mobility but she can use her electric wheelchair independently. Hoists are required to move her from her bed to her wheelchair and to her bath etc. Personal care is required, along with medication assistance and domestic support. Meals must be cooked fresh and not heated up in the microwave. She's a very active person and the care assistant must be happy escorting her to social events and to facilities for physical exercise, such as swimming. She has a car that is wheelchair accessible and you must be comfortable driving this and have a valid driving licence.

Our client has a strong preference for female carers between 35 and 50 years of age from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia, and New Zealand. However, we're unable to sponsor visas at this time so you will need to already have a Right to Work in the UK.

Our requirements

• Legal eligibility to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas
• Available to start work in February 2023 (an earlier start might also be possible)
• Experience working in the care sector as a live-in care assistant with adults under the age of 50 
• Valid driving licence
• Passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• Clear verbal communication
• Ownership of a smartphone
• Registered with DBS Update Service for an earlier start
