Here at Bluebird Care Trafford, we are currently looking for caring, compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to support our customers,  on a live-in basis. 

All of our assignments are based in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester.  As a local business operating in our community, we are accessible to both you and our customers, allowing us to provide appropriate and timely support.

Working as a Live in Care Assistant with us, you can expect:

• Rates of £550 to £756 per week depending on the customers’ support needs
• Welcome bonus of £250 once you start in your first assignment
• A three-hour break during the day to allow you to relax and unwind
• Your own personal room/space within the property
• A subsistence payment to support with food costs whilst staying away from home
• A company mobile phone

We believe in developing our team members to achieve their potential, so there is ongoing training which starts with a full induction, plus opportunities to undertake RQF qualifications at levels 2 – 5.

There is no ‘typical’ live in care customer, as we deliver a person-centred package of care, tailored to each individual.  But you may expect to undertake duties such as personal care, preparing meals, domestic work, medication, liaising with healthcare professionals, shopping and following/updating care plans.

You will need to have some kind of experience of caring for others, either paid or unpaid, with a strong degree of empathy and a good understanding for how to meet others’ needs.

Live in care work is a role that requires a certain amount of flexibility; you may work with different customers while we try to make the best match.   Although we aim to try and meet your preferred working patterns, it may depend on which customer you are with and how this fits with our existing team.  Currently we have patterns including one, two, three weeks on and a week off.

The commitment and style of live in care certainly isn’t for everyone, but if this is your niche and you have a big heart and professional approach, it can truly be something special where you will feel fulfilled and rewarded.
