About the client: The client is an intelligent and articulate 95-year-old lady, living in her own home in North Dorset, in a beautiful village location.

About the package: The role currently attracts a salary of £980 per week. This role is for 2 weeks' cover for the existing carer, from 21 August to 4 September. The requirement is likely to be repeated in the future.

About the role: Our client requires very limited personal care (bathing) and mobility support (she can walk unaided, but sometimes uses a rollator or sticks. This is predominantly a companionship and administrative role (including help with her correspondence and social diary). She requires cooking for and help with normal household tasks. There is a housekeeper who is there 5 mornings a week and a gardener. There is plenty of scope for downtime, as the client is happy to be left for a few hours every day.

About us: We are a small and friendly bespoke live-in care referral agency, operating predominantly in the South West of England. We pride ourselves on a personal approach and maintain close and supportive relations with both our clients and carers throughout our placements.

About you: You will need to have the following skill sets and experience:

Essential (i.e. MUST have):

• UK driving licence and your own car (which you are prepared to use with the client). Mileage is paid at UK Govt rate (currently £0.55p per mile).
• At least 3 years’ experience of care for the elderly, in either a live-in or care home capacity.
• The ability to cook nutritious meals
• The right to work in the UK
• Current DBS
• At least 2 private professional references
• Current Care training Certificates

Desirable (i.e. NICE to have):

• NVQ or similar qualification in Health & Social Care.
