Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional Full-Time Live-in carer for a client living in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside.

What we need from you:

 -     A minimum of 12 months experience within a care setting, either for a family member or on a professional basis.

 -     Genuine kind, compassionate, caring nature required - PERSONAL, TRUSTED, CARING.

 -     Reliable and committed to making a difference 'every day' to our client.

 -     Excellent written and spoken communication skills and fluent English is essential.

-      Car owner and driving license for use in the UK.

Details about our client - 88 yrs old gentleman

Able and relatively fit and healthy.

Suffering only from loneliness and is unstimulated

Lives with housekeeper, a Filipino lady aged 70+ who wants to retire. She lives in a cottage next to the house

The gentleman has a personal assistant who works two days a week, this lady does all the paperwork.

The house is large and within an estate and other cottages nearby

He is a smoker

Can walk

Can’t drive

Can dress and wash and eat

Likes basic food

Has a dog (quite elderly)

Job Spec

Shop

Cook – 3 meals a day – can leave supper at 7pm ish to be warmed up

Clean

Add some spirit and companionship to the house – doesn’t need to sit chatting but just be around as needed

Answer phone

Remind him to take any medication

The gentleman is quiet, not very social and doesn’t drive and the present lady is not cleaning, looking after the house, food or the ‘boss’ as he wouldn’t ask and she wouldn’t think.  He watches the television a great deal and doesn’t go outside much.

 The job might suit a couple (pay could be increased for this). Start date September/October 2017. Initially to live in spare room and private bathroom in the house.  This would give time for the present lady to leave and cottage to be redecorated.  If a couple - could assist with things around the house and possibly driving a little.

 The house desperately needs some new blood – getting rid of cobwebs, cleaning bathrooms, adding soap, loo roll, looking after the laundry and generally clearing up quite a state of mess.

What is on offer:

 - Up to £750 per week
