Job Description

Female carer 

Exeter based 

Rota to be discussed but it will be regular so it is not possible to work six weeks and take a month off for instance. The rota would be two on and two off or three on and three off. The initial period would be two on and two off.

A week's trial is required please, two days of which you will shadow current carer but will be paid in full per day worked.
 

Regular daily breaks two hours

Elderly lady

Mobile, with stick but a little nervous following a fall three months ago and two years a serious fall in the street. Early stages of dementia. Arteriosclerosis. No incontinence issues. Sleeps well and carer may be aware of her getting up early to read but carer's day does not start until 7.00 a.m and ends by 9.30 pm. Personal care requires minimal support.

Cooking and light cleaning required.
 

Likes to chat.
 

Driver not essential but parking permit is available for on street parking in quiet residential road.  

Supportive friendly family.

Team of two with relief carer to cover breaks.

All meals supplied.

Own living room and en-suite shower and toilet on separate floor. Own TV and WiFi.
 

£900/week self employed paid by bacs. Invoice required.

DBS must be current.

Insurance.

Two references enclosed with CV please.

Clear spoken and written English.

Friendly and positive disposition with sensitivity, gentleness and calm, uncontrolling, non confrontational attitude a must.
 

All holidays or requested times off to be declared at interview if known and future times to be at the co operation and discretion of team with a view that two breaks of no more than a fortnight would be anticipated per year. This means twice a year a month could be taken but no more than a month if joined to time off but it would be preferable to not use this option or partially use to maintain good will and positivity in the team.
