Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Support Worker to join our team at PalCare. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Duties

  • Assist with the implementation of care plans under the supervision of registered nurses or healthcare professionals
  • Provide 24-hour live-in care in clients homes
  • Support clients with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, and nutrition
  • Monitor and record vital signs and health indicators accurately
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of care requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for client records and progress notes
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the care environment in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to clients during their recovery or ongoing treatment

Requirements

  • Previous experience or background in nursing or healthcare support is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Strong understanding and experience of domiciliary care
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Basic IT literacy for maintaining accurate electronic records and documentation
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in client care and well-being
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or client needs as required
  • Strong understanding of Parkingson's disease and management
  • Strong understanding of 5* customer service
  • Care Certificate
  • DBS on Update Service
