Job Description

We are looking for a live in carer to look after my Mum who has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and lives just outside of Manchester in the North West of England. 

The disease is degernative and she currently needs daily support with personal care, moving to and from the commode, dressing, changing, taking tablets and getting in and out of bed. 

We are hoping to find a strong, flexible, experienced carer who can not only care for her appropriately but is also chatty, enjoys listening to music and ideally likes cooking/baking. Mum enjoys going out for walks in her wheelchair too so we would ideally like a carer who is confident doing this as well as someone who is physically strong for moving requirements (though aids are provided).

A sizable bedroom will be provided with all amenities available to be used, including a large garden. There are plenty of things to do in the local area and transport links into Manchester too. 

Although the household has no pets there is a visiting dog so we would also need the carer to be comfortable with animals.
