Job Description

Older couple looking for female staff member to provide live-in cover for existing staff when they are on annual leave. There will be a total of at least 80 days cover needed over the year and the present annual leave dates include 30 days from 20th March to 19 April and 38 days 12th May to 18th June (inclusive). Staff have their own room, rest area and all meals while working. The role consists of meeting all the care needs of a female wheelchair user with dementia and all other general duties connected to running a household i.e. preparing meals, personal care, transfers from bed to wheelchair to commode using hoist (training will be given), laundry etc. The husband can manage his own care needs, but due to medical condition cannot manage any other tasks. While on duty your role will be shared with another member of staff and your duties are split into a rota of 12hr shifts of 4 days on then 4 sleeping nights. Due to the rural location a driving license is essential for this role and a car is provided for the use of the staff. While staff are not on duty they are free to follow their own pursuits, either in or out of the house. This role does not need to be live in if the staff live close enough to the location to enable them to travel to and from work when they are on shift. Please contact for further details
