Job Description

2 x self employed live in carers to work consecutively for disabled elderly lady in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

Week on/week off or two weeks on two weeks off - say Weds to Weds to allow alternative weekends free - this is flexible and can be worked out to suit all parties as the family is very much involved with her care.

History - my mother had a brain aneurysm 31 years ago which culminated in paralysis in her left arm/hand and limited mobility in her left leg. Up until now she has been extremely independant doing her own personal care, getting in and out of bed by herself, feeding herself etc. 

She is now 92 and sadly her ability to do things has significantly deteriorated as well as her eyesight which is now extremely poor. She is a very private (reserved) person who will need time to get to know you. The vacancies would probably suit an older person with a calm friendly personality.

Duties would include but not limited to:

• assisting with personal care, dressing, getting in and out of bed  and toilet visits.
• light household duties (cleaners will be provided when the government allow)
• shopping and cooking
• medication, ordering and prompting
• washing and ironing
• companionship
