Melody Care seeks Senior Care Manager : Salary up to £40,000 per annum

Melody Care is an established, high-quality care provider in the Hampshire and Surrey areas.

Melody Care is growing and we are seeking an experienced Senior Care Manager to form part of our Senior Management Team. You will be working in the domicillary side of the business and have overall responsibility for our branches in Aldershot, Alton and Farnborough. You will work closely with other senior managers and you will direct all operational aspects of each branch, while ensuring a smooth efficient service that mets the expectations and needs of clients and carers.

Our excellent team of Registered Branch Managers will be reporting to you and will require your guidance, support and intervention. You will help continue the success of these teams and you will have further support from our dedicated teams in recruitment, operations and guidance from human resources.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • You will possess a strong recent track record as a Registered Care Manager for a minimum of 3 years;
  • Experience in Care will include practical and office work;
  • NVQ / QCF / RQF Level 5 in Health and Social Care
  • Experience with Carers, Live-In Carers and Self-Employed Contractors; and
  • Possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

Salary: £36,000 with an O.T.E. up to £40,000 per annum

Principle Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • You will have overall operational responsibility for the management of the branch to include; staffing, budget, performance, maintaining capacity and oversight of all records and client files;
  • You will manage all aspects of a high-quality care service that supports our existing and new clients, so they can enjoy dignity and independence in their own homes.
  • You will manage the Registered Branch Managers for Aldershot, Alton and Farnborough. Conducting individual performance & development reviews;
  • You will be able to demonstrate and provide strong leadership to all staff so they are clear about their accountabilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles and provide business targets where applicable;
  • You will act as a Guardian to Business Development Managers by providing continuous support and guidance with new clients from initial discussions right through to the completion of new business agreements;
  • You will work closely with the Recruitment Manager and Marketing Manager to coordinate a successful marketing campaign for both self-employed carers and clients;
  • You will be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with CQC requirements and company policies and procedures;
  • You will have the ability to promote the rights of each client and keep their choice of care at the centre of our service;
  • You will attend Client reviews as and when required;
  • You will manage weekly meetings with your team and participate in monthly Senior Organisational Management meetings;
  • You will aspire to manage Area Care Managers as the business grows;
  • You will have the ability to build effective internal working relationships with our Learning & Development, Recruitment and Human Resources Departments to help with the support and development of your branch;
  • You will support your team and monitor holidays and sickness;
  • You will provide guidance and support to Registered Branch Managers for their team's On-Call System;
  • You will be efficient, organised and be able to plan and prioritise workload; and,
  • You will work closely with the Head of Operations and Head of People in Culture in respect of governance, policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications:

NVQ / QCF / RQF Level 5 in Health and Social Care


Person Specification:

Proven capability to maintain and grow an established service and successfully manage a team of staff;

Excellent IT & Communication Skills;

Experience in a Registered Care Manager Position (+3 years);

Experience in the Care Sector;


Discretion & Diplomacy;

Patient & Caring:

Self-motivated, target driven and able to work on own initiative; and,

Ability to work with a flexible, team-orientated approach.
