Hello,

We are looking for a friendly carer to join our fantastic team! Your role would be supporting Roger, a middle aged working man with multiple sclerosis near Leyburn North Yorkshire.

Most of our personal care assistants work on a part-time non-live in basis, but as Roger's needs are evolving, we are looking for carers who might be interested in part-time live-in roles on an as-need respite and emergency basis. These may involve personal care (getting Roger up in the morning and helping him get to work), supporting him whilst at work (e.g. writing e-mails, giving him lunch, filing), picking Roger up for work and making dinner and putting Roger to bed, or more likely they will involve weekend overnight stays, and potentially outings and trips (e.g. Roger loves going to art galleries!) 

No experience is necessary as full training will be given. All you need is a good sense of humour, caring nature and a full driving license (as taking him to/from work or on outings in his own vehicle may part of this role).

The hourly rate for 'fixed shifts' as part of this (morning (2.5 hours), lunchtime (1 hour), teatime (2 hours) and bedtime (1.5 hours) is £11.54 as this is covered through Roger's caring allowance. For longer-term stays, we would provide a comfortable room in our lovely rural house, all meals and also an additional payment based on number of hours work and activities which is open to negotiation.
