Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Personal Assistant to provide care and support to a 53-year-old, wheelchair-using, single man who lives in Milton Keynes.

The Personal Assistant will be required to assist with daily living needs, personal administration, domestic tasks and social outings. The daily living needs include dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, feeding and toileting. The domestic tasks include cooking and laundry. The social outings include shopping, trips to the cinema and the theatre, and visiting friends.

Previous care experience is not essential however the successful Personal Assistant will:

• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
• Have good interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to listen to and learn from verbal instructions
• Ideally possess some basic cooking skills
• Have a reliable and sensitive nature
• Respect confidentiality at all times
• Be flexible, relaxed and have a sense of humour
• Have a certain level of fitness as there is a degree of moving involved

The successful applicant will work flexibly, as part of a four-week rolling rota. The pay will be £100.00 per day worked.
