Live-in Companion Care Worker – 1 Week on / 1 Week 0ff - SCOTLAND 

Bright Care is Actively hiring in Edinburgh for enthusiastic Carers who would thrive on providing fantastic care and service to our elderly clients. If you love bringing a smile into an older person’s life and are always willing to go the extra mile, this is the right opportunity for you!

Your role

In this role as Live-in Care Worker you will be expected to provide in-home care and companionship for older people. Live-in work is a specialized service provided for clients who need help throughout the day and sometimes at night. Living with someone requires a special commitment to being patient, helpful, considerate, attentive and understanding because it’s their home and you’re just an invited attendant. Some of your duties will involve:

  • Providing friendly companionship
  • Helping Clients with light housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, cooking)
  • Going on outings (grocery shopping, social events, hospital appointments)
  • Assisting Clients with personal care (getting washed, dressed, toilet)
  • Supporting Clients with medication
  • Writing daily reports

Job Requirements

  • Experience in caring for others is essential, whether in a professional or informal capacity.
  • A positive attitude, patience, good communication skills and a genuinely warm personality.
  • Commitment, reliability and a mature and professional approach to situations.
  • Driving Licence and own transport are highly beneficial
