Job Description

Ashridge Home Care are looking for live-in Carers to work as part of a team with our client based in London. The role entails working alongside a team of carers to provide care and support to a female client with learning disabilities and epilepsy.

Do you consider yourself to have good cooking skills, great organisational skills, a sense of responsibility working within a team? Do you have the ability to be patient and use initiative in unpredictable scenarios?

No training or experience required but a desire to learn from experienced team members and passionate about making a difference.

This is for a permanent role that will be part of a regular rota which has an element of flexibility. Applicants must have a driving license as the client has a car (automatic) that the carers use to transport the client around London and surrounding areas.

Our client enjoys a fantastic quality of life and is supported by the team on a variety of day trips, activities and holidays. Equally, our client has very a structured daily home life routine which must be maintained in order to provide effective support. A comprehensive care plan is in place which provides an essential guide to our client’s support.

To our client, it is the little things that make a big difference to life. Therefore, an essential ‘toolkit’ to the role are:

1. A good pair of walking shoes
2. Waterproof shoes
3. Raincoat and umbrella
4. Swimming costume
5. Extra warm clothing during the colder months

All new carers will be expected to complete a 3-5 day shadowing period.
