Do you have a caring nature and want to help people maintain an independent life at home if so, have you considered a role as live in care worker?

We currently have a vacancy available Milton Keynes for an immediate start with a client that has spinal cord injury and would like to have 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rota. You will be required to support clients to remain living independently in their own home through forming a trusting and supportive relationship with our client.

We are looking for carer's who meet the following criteria:

- Online DBS

- 6 months paid UK care experience (references to go back 5 years)

- Valid documents (Passport, ID, NI, 2x proof of address)

- Mandatory training certificates (within 12 months)

-Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative

-Able to work under pressure and in stressful and challenging situation.

Duties include domestic work, companionship, support with medication, meal preparation and personal care. We are looking for somebody who has knowledge or experience with working with clients who have spinal cord injuries and preferably first-hand experience supporting with catheter care, bowel management, skin integrity and autonomic dysreflexia alongside an understanding around mental health. These qualities are desirable and all successful candidates will be supported by our nurses through training in these areas.
