Wilson's Care is a family run home care provider, currently recruiting a live-in carer for our client based in Ongar, Essex.

The Role:

The most significant responsibility will be to provide companionship to an elderly lady living with dementia who is unable to live independently.  You will also assist her to take her medication correctly and help her to prepare her meals.  The schedule will be one week on, one week off and we are looking for someone who is able to commit long term and to build a relationship with our client.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing care provider that truly values and supports its staff.

Role Requirements:

• Supporting with personal care
• Meal preparation
• Medication administration
• Be honest, patient and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of vulnerable adults
• Observing, and reporting on, the health and wellbeing of the client (including completing MAR charts)
• Providing companionship
• Complying with all CQC regulations
• Working in accordance with Wilson’s Care policies and values

About you:

• Live-in care experience (preferred but not essential)
• Be reliable, caring and have excellent attention to detail
• Clear and thorough record-keeping skills
• Hold a clean UK licence (preferred)
• An enhanced DBS check will be required

During the current Covid-19 restrictions, interviews will be conducted via telephone and video link.
