Be Awesome – join our team as a LIVE-IN CARER for St Jude’s Care - £800 per week - Isle of Scilly (South West England)

St Jude’s Care, an award-winning care provider, are looking for Live-in Carers with empathy and compassion who want to make a difference in people’s lives.

If you have previous experience of providing care (whether residential or live-in) then we would love to hear from you.

St Jude's Care prides itself on providing first-class care for every one of our clients, within their own home. Our clients have a range of needs - from mental health, learning disabilities and palliative care through to clients who would simply like someone for companionship.

As a live-in carer, you will be matched with your client in Dorset, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, and the Isles of Scilly where you will support them in and around their own home

What will be required of you?

• Provide support and encouragement to clients to maximise their independence around their home environment and in the community.
• Carry out domestic tasks which could include making and changing beds, general housework e.g., dusting, polishing, and hoovering, shopping, budgeting, preparing, and cooking meals, pet care and laundry.
• Personal care tasks which could include assistance with personal hygiene, oral care, hair care, continence, washing, dressing. Safe administration of medication (including creams) in accordance with individual care plans and risk assessments.
• Support clients with their chosen daytime activities, hobbies, and leisure pursuits.
• Support clients with their weekly shopping.
• Support clients to attend medical appointments as necessary to maintain their health and well-being.
