We have opportunities for Live in Carers to provide 1 to 1 support, to enable vulnerable adults to live independent lives within the comfort of their own homes. Bluebird Care is looking for male and female care assistants.

Bluebird Care Southampton, Totton, Portsmouth and New Forest are recruiting Live in Carers to join our team and support our customers with their everyday living. You do not really need to have the care experience, as often the best live in carers we have in our team have never done it before. But they have all one thing in common - that they are switched on, hands-on and really caring about the welfare of our customers. So if you have looked after people in some form before, then we would love to hear from you!! You do not need to be a driver for this job.

What would you do as a Live in carer?

Well you move in with the customer and you stay with them for a minimum of 4 weeks. You build a rapport with them and support them through the day with getting up or going to bed, washing and personal care, medication needs, meal preparation and companionship. Often you would be running the housekeeping within reason. Eventually you could end up with more complex caring for which we will train you.

Previous live in care experience is not essential, just a hands-on and happy attitude as we will train you accordingly .
