Hello

My mother is 88 she was a well educated retired Artist and former Occupational Therapist; she now has stage 2 Dementia and needs full time care. She is very easy to get along with, she craves conversation and good company. She sleeps alot of the time and is easy to deal with for all things.  She expressed a wish to stay at home as long as possible and we have had part time care people visiting her at home for the last year.

Main Duties would be cooking/feeding, Washing, Dressing, Toileting, Administration of medication and record keeping. We do most of the cleaning and shopping. 

We can provide good quality independent accommodation in pleasant country grounds as part of the package. We have arranged alternative stand in care for your days off when required.   The location is a village so some transport is preferable. We can offer a good salary contract for the right candidate. We can inteview by phone or skype but it is preferable that you visit us to discuss the arrangement.   

We would like to employ a kind female care person to look after her who has some experience in Dementia. You should be bright, cheerfull and practical in approach. You should also be able to speak English well. This is a medium to long term post offered. You should have at least 12 months experience and preferably be qualified in carework or be able to demonstrate that you are used to dealing with Dementia and Medication.  We are prepared to be flexible on the arrangement the main criteria is that you are reliable.
