Client Reference : Mrs SC

Start & End Date : 19.12.22 – over XMAS period

Rate : please advise

Paid when : Weekly or 2 weekly by client's mother

Driver : Preferred, not essential

Pets : 1 cat & parents' dog may visit

Location : Marlborough, Wiltshire

Breaks : 2 – 3 hours daily

Food : Not included

Ideal Carer : A female carer who is happy to work with others and is confident using a ceiling track and manual hoist. Carer to ideally have 2 covid vaccines and have experience in stoma and catheters.

About the client :
Miss SC is a lovely lady who enjoys socialising and keeping busy. She is mentally alert, sensible and able to make her own choices. She likes to be able to get on with her carers and find common interests. She enjoys painting and other craft activities.
Miss SC is wheelchair-bound, however having regular exercise is really important as this helps to keep her sugar levels at an acceptable level and she enjoys getting out and about in the fresh air.
Miss SC has two carers. One is a private carer. Carers can take their breaks when the other carer is with the client.
The Client likes to go out most days. Monday Wednesday and Friday non-driver is to shower Miss SC do the housework and cooking. Tuesday non-driver to assist driver with the ramp.
Miss SC has a stoma bag and catheter

General Condition: Short-term memory, Type 1 diabetes – insulin dependent (carer required to prick client's finger for blood sugar reading, client will inject her own insulin with EpiPen. Brian bleed in 1999, 2 strokes several years ago.

Moving & Handling : Hoisting

Equipment to be used : Hoist, blood sugar reading

Client Dietary Requirements: Diabetic
