Job Description

I am a 38-year-old male with acquired brain injury as a result of a road traffic accident. I am looking for a live-in carer to work 2 weeks on/2 weeks off (or may be an option to do 4 weeks on/4 weeks off).

I rely on my care team for all aspects of daily life. Due to my disability, my needs and requirements are written down on a daily schedule for my care team to follow. I am unable to easily communicate and therefore you would need to be able to follow written instructions. My parents and my younger brother oversee and manage my care package. They also arrange interviews on my behalf.

You will have your own bedroom during your working weeks with a double bed, TV and Wi-Fi, your 3 basic meals per day are also included. Alternatively you can have a supplement to provide your own food. You would also be required to be on call overnight in case I should need assistance for whatever reason. I would Like my carer to have a friendly attitude and approach as well as be able to team work with my current care team.

You must hold a current DBS disclosure and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

A driving license is preferred but not essential. I have my own Motability vehicle my carers with a full driving license are able to use to take me to any appointments/shopping etc.

Care experience is also preferred but not essential as you will be shown how to meet my needs by my current carers.

Rates of pay: £770-£840 per week
