Job Description

We are now looking for experienced and committed live-in carers to work with our clients living near Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

The clients are a married couple in their eighties.  They have been receiving live-in care for a few months and are very much appreciating the support and reassurance this offers them. 

The wife has advanced vascular dementia and is no longer mobile, she uses a standing hoist for transfers and is largely cared for in bed.  She is no longer verbal.  

The husband also has vascular dementia, though this is recently diagnosed and he is very active and chatty.

The couple have two live-in carers at a time, one to look after each of them.  The live-in carers work together to provide meals and companionship to the clients.  The clients live in a beautiful rural setting, have a lovely and supportive family and are a really nice couple to work with.

We are looking for people with previous experience of working as a live-in carer, and being a driver with your own vehicle would be preferred.  Fluent spoken and written English ability is essential. 

In return for your skills and experience we can offer you employment on a self employed basis at a competitive pay rate.  We envisage the working pattern to be either two weeks on followed by two off, or three weeks on followed by one off however this is negotiable once we get our new team together.
