Job Description

Bluebird Care (Alton & Alresford) are looking for an experienced Live in Carer to join our multi-award winning team to serve a husband and wife in their lovely home near the centre of Alton.

As a passionate Live in Carer, you will provide day-to-day assistance to enable our customer to remain in their beloved home, allowing them to stay near their friends, families and belongings.

The home has a fabulous large garden and is within distance of the local town and shops, perfect for a Live in Carer who is either new to the area or one who is familiar with the surroundings.

The husband has Dementia so we would like a Live in Carer with experience in that field, but the role will also include assisting the wife with day-to-day living and to take them both out into the community.

The role of a Live-in Care Worker involves:

* Personal care

* Medication support

* Meal preparation and grocery shopping

* Household support

* General companionship

Live-in Care Workers receive:

* Your own room with TV

* Daily time off

* 24-hour support from the office team

* High salary of £574 per week

* Full induction and on-going training

Essential Criteria:

* Full driver’s license – maximum 6 points

* Excellent written and verbal English skills

Desirable Criteria:

* NVQ/QCF Level 2 or equivalent

* Previous experience as a care worker or as an unpaid carer

* The husband has dementia so experience in providing care for people with dementia would be a distinct advantage.

* Knowledge of safeguarding matters

* Working knowledge of health and safety matters relating to homecare

* Flexible approach to working
